A muslin towel is a lightweight towel made of layered cotton gauze instead of terry loops. One layer of gauze is too thin to dry you, so ours are woven in four layers: enough body to absorb like a towel, open enough to dry quickly between uses. The gauze feels soft on the face, which is why many people use the smaller size for skincare.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a muslin towel?
A muslin towel is made of layered cotton gauze rather than terry loops. It is thinner and lighter than terry, absorbs quickly and dries in a fraction of the time. Ours use four layers of 100% Turkish cotton gauze.
Are muslin towels absorbent enough for the bath?
Yes. Four gauze layers give enough body to dry you after a shower, and the open weave releases moisture quickly, so the towel is dry again sooner than terry. Expect them to feel softer and more absorbent after the first few washes.
Can I use a muslin towel on my face?
Yes. The gauze is soft and lint-free, so the 18 × 34 in towel works well for drying the face or as part of a skincare routine. Wash it often, as you would any face cloth.
How do I wash muslin towels?
Machine wash cold, at 86°F (30°C) at most, with similar colors. Tumble dry low or line dry, and avoid bleach. Expect about 3 to 5% shrinkage after the first wash; the cotton softens with every wash.
Where are they made and are they certified?
They are handwoven in Denizli, Turkey, from 100% Turkish cotton. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certifies that the product meets the standard's limit values for harmful substances.
