In short: The Elegant Striped Peshtemal is a flat-woven Turkish bath towel with groups of colored stripes on a cream ground, handwoven from 100% long-staple Turkish cotton in Denizli, Turkey. It measures 35 x 71 in (90 x 180 cm), comes in 3 colors and is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified.
Here the stripes are gathered into narrow groups with wide stretches of cream between them, a quieter pattern than all-over stripes. The cream ground keeps the towel light in tone, so it sits easily in a calm bathroom, a guest bath or a neutral beach bag. Fringe finishes the short edges.
As a bath towel it is thin and light, takes up water well for its weight and dries quickly on a hook or rail. The cream-and-stripe pattern also lends itself to styling beyond the bath: folded over a chair, laid along a table as a runner, or tied as a light wrap at the pool.
