Single-layer muslin is too sheer for most rooms, and lined curtains can feel heavy. Two layers of muslin sit in between: the doubled weave softens harsh sunlight into a gentle glow and hides the rod shadow, while cotton keeps air moving. At 200 GSM the panel falls in a natural drape and softens with every wash.

Each panel is pre-washed and finished with double-stitched side hems and a weighted bottom hem for a clean line. Colors: Beige, Black, Blue, Coral, Gray, Mint, Rust, White, Wine and Yellow. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certifies that the product meets the standard's limit values for harmful substances.

What is 2-layer muslin?

It is two thin layers of cotton gauze woven together, also called double gauze. The second layer adds privacy and body compared with single muslin, while the open weave still lets light and air pass through. This panel weighs 200 GSM.

Do muslin curtains give privacy?

They give soft daytime privacy. The doubled weave blurs the view and hides the rod shadow, but light still passes through. They are light filtering, not blackout, so layer them over a shade in rooms that need full darkness.

Will the curtains shrink?

Muslin relaxes about 1 to 2 in in length after the first wash, even though each panel is pre-washed. Order panels 2 in longer than your finished measurement, then wash at 30°C (86°F) and hang to dry.

Are they sold as a pair?

No. Each listing is one panel. Most windows look fuller with two panels in the same width, length and header style. For wide windows, choose the 55 in width or add a third panel for a gathered look.

Which header style fits my rod?

The rod pocket slides onto rods up to 1.5 in thick for a gathered top. Tab tops hang from fabric loops for a relaxed look. Tie tops use soft fabric ties and suit thinner rods or decorative poles.
